We just read "Rappaccini's Daughter" for my American Lit. class I loved that. I haven't seen the movie yet, though. The fun part's in the introduction, where he goes on about how it was written by a M. Aubépine who wrote Contes Deux Fois Racontés, because I'm a dork for language jokes. But it's delightfully creepy. Now we're reading Poe in that class, which is also perfect for the season (particularly "The Tell-Tale Heart" and "Fall of the House of Usher").

Mm. This is why I'm doing Gothic for my NaNo.
