Y'all, I totally forgot--I'm taping the show and not watching, but here's your Lost discussion entry if you want it.

I bet the black rock is the ship's name...cause I saw it and I was like "that's...not...a rock."

That's what I was thinking too. Name of the ship. Makes sense to me.

Lol...as it panned across, before we got the whole view of the ship i was like, "wow, for a black rock, its rather brown and wood-like...oh its a ship...named the black rock. So we have pirates? are "The Others" pirate?"

ANNNNND to further complain about the French on this show...if the name of the ship is 'The Black Rock' A) it would be refered to as 'The Black Rock' even if you were speaking about it in French a la "J'ai vu 'The Black Rock', et, c'est un navire!" there's no reason to translate the name of it, nor would a French person do that (IMO) or B) be referred as 'le bateau' - the ship/boat. I don't know why she would call it the 'Rocher Noir'. Even if it's name is Le Rocher Noir (read : it's a French boat) then she should call it that in English too.

Again, all my own opinions. It still made me to OMG! It's a boat! when I saw it. :-) In fact most of the episode made me go OMG! which makes me wish I had someone to watch it with. :-(

That was also my first thought. I was all like, "OMG Pirates! Where's Johnny?"

I totally shouted "CAPTAIN JACK IS ON THE ISLAND?!" at the TV.

Well, Captain Jack, and Captain Doctor Hero Jack. Aheh.

Hahaha, can't you just see Crazy Lady and Co. staring at the ship ominously... and Captain Jack Sparrow swaggers out with a bottle of rum and says "Welcome to the South Pacific, love!"

The rum! I totally thought that too. That would make island living perfect, just get drunk =)

Yeah, it's what happened to the Black Pearl after filming PotC!

Or else, it was Captain Jack's first ship, and that's the tale he's telling the soldiers when Elizabeth falls off of the fort.

So would he have continued with "...Well, after I killed that other annoying Jack who claimed to be a Captain..."? XD

I second this thanks! And I want to add that my roommate and I had a ten minute discussion about how badly we wanted to be the person that had to make him all oily hot! ;)
