Another round from the To Pimp list, while the Spider-Man DVD is rolling over back to the beginning:

[livejournal.com profile] lady_tavington: "Oh, All Mighty Cleo, I have, for thy pimping, a story to push, hoping that thou willst do some magic for me... I just started a Star Wars/Lostr (LOST+LOTR pairings) fic, entitled Discord Among Us, and I was hoping you could do me some pimping... Chapter 1 be here, and Chapter 2 be here. While you're at it, could you also pimp my fic comm, [livejournal.com profile] literarydebris? Tnx muchleh."

[livejournal.com profile] divabat: "[livejournal.com profile] rphurtsmybrain (a spinoff of [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess's [livejournal.com profile] ithurtsmybrain) needs writers and [livejournal.com profile] faithlikewhoa needs more people posting. Thankee :D "

[livejournal.com profile] theatre_angel: "I should hope that Sherie Rene Scott Online is eligible for pimping."

[livejournal.com profile] shempskaya: "Please pimp my community [livejournal.com profile] ghpp, The Guerilla Haiku Postcard Project. The gist of it is, write a haiku on a postcard, mail it anonymously to whoever you want, and post it. It's been dead in there for quite awhile, maybe some new blood will freshen it up."

[livejournal.com profile] chorusgirl: ":Pimp take two: My Harry Potter fanfic. R&R maybe?"

[livejournal.com profile] tundraeternal: "Could you give a shout out on behalf of [livejournal.com profile] who_new_who, a comm for people who've fallen in love with the new Doctor Who series? We want lots of people to come join so we can all be psycho fanatics together. Thanks!"

[livejournal.com profile] mackzazzle: "So, my pimp request? [livejournal.com profile] negability. Literary history RPG. Yeah, you heard that right. It's just starting, and we're really hurtin' for characters. Any English author born before 1900 is fair came. Come on. It's only the awesomest thing ever. ;)"

[livejournal.com profile] akakat: "Lovely Cleo, tf I'm not past deadline could you pimp my Vid site? Music videos for HP, LOTR, POTC, and others."

Misc. links:

Since [livejournal.com profile] vampychick reminded me, Capewatch: "Approximately US $4,349.63." (Emmy Rossum's Christine wedding dress? Approximately US $482.44. Oh, burrrrrrrn.) And yeah, the quills are already out of my reach. Woe for writerly mementoes. However, you can still get a whole frickin' bee costume (I know, man. Bee costume?) for like $15.

(I still want to know who ran off with the candelarmbra.)

I cannot stop giggling now that you said that! I swear Really Useful Group is totally taking advantage of all the crazy POTO and GB fans out there. That's what bothers me about these things. You know there are women (and it's going to be women, I have no doubt) who are bidding waaaaay more than they can afford to get a piece of the movie.

Oh sweet Lord have mercy, look what Gwynevere just posted on SF:

Search "mask." ALL the major ones are going on the block. God help us all.

Oh fuck, the Don Juan mask is going up. I wants it. Maybe I'll bid on it shortly after it goes up knowing someone will outbid me.

It's a cruel game to play, repeatedly bidding on something you know you can't win just to stick it to the eventual winner, and one I do not endorse at all. No sir.

Oh, P.S. I'm a jewelry nut, so I actually wish I could afford some of Carlotta's stuff. There's something about owning prop jewelry that doesn't make me feel as weird as owning something more recognizable.

There are some beautiful peices in there that would be cool to have. I saw one tiara from from Masquerade that looked really cool, but I wouldn;t have much use for something like that.

This is why I have always tried to stay way from online auctions. It's too easy to get caught up in them and try for things you don't want/need/can afford. It's going to be facinating watching how much all the masks go for.

See, this is the upside to being broke: once it passes $10, I'm out. God help me when I get the second half of my advance.
