Don't know anything about the virus in particular, but a good way to start is, assuming she's running Windows, to re-boot the computer in safe mode. Just press F8 a lot as soon as the power comes on until the boot menu pops up and it asks you if you want regular or safe mode. Once you're in safe mode, you won't be able to go online, but she should be able to run any anti-virus software she has or do a manual search-and-destroy. Also, when running safe mode the resolution and colors will be low, but that's normal. It's cause windows is loading the minimum number of things it needs to get a useable interface going, so a lot of pretty is sacrificed.
