And in the book AND the radio series AND the TV series, Arthur is surprised to learn that Ford doesn't come from Guildford as he claims. Movie!Ford could never claim to be from Guildford. Not successfully, anyhow.
Of course. I think I really like the Zaphod, actually. At first his zaniness seemed a little out-of-place with the rest of the characters, but then I remembered...well, duh. That's totally how he is. Although I always pronounced his name with a short a.
Ah, so you've never heard the radio series on which the books were based? You're missing out. Really. That (and the subsequent TV series) clouds my judgement somewhat when approaching the film, unfortunately. Having said that, apart from the head issue, the movie Zaphod looks pretty okay, as does the movie Arthur.
To me, Ford's (apparent) Britishness makes it all the more startling that he is related to the loud, brash Zaphod.
I just realised that probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense... but I think I read something like that, about the beard and the second head being underneath.
I started hollering at the computer screen when Zaphod first appears with one head. But yes, it looks like the other one does pop up. The beard/hair thing is an interesting cinematic touch. Can't wait to actually get a good look.

Where's Zaphod's other head?

Not. Happy.

There's a quick scene in the trailer where it looks like he can switch out the two heads. One goes in, the other comes out.
