Did the same writer do both the Charlie episodes?

No, the first one was by Paul Dini and Jennifer Johnson, and this was by Damon Lindelof, the bloody co-creator, who wrote the pilot and the second Kate episode. So it's all the more disappointing, really.

Jin shows unusual concern for the baby, btw.

So unusual I expected him to do a Burnsian "Eeeexcellent."

Garbage. That is to say, empty aluminum cans and plastic junk and crap (which is interesting, because I would have thought they'd have gotten rid of that stuff long ago). Not, you know, like, Shirley Manson or anything.

Heeeeee. A friend of mine and I have an inside joke going back to our very first IM conversation, in which the whole garbage/Garbage/Shirley Manson conundrum came into play. And oh, hey! You were going to repost that Garbage cover! Need more Garbaaaaage.

Boone wakes up and--you know, I could have sworn he fell asleep by a fire on the beach, and when he wakes up he's in the jungle. I have no idea what's going on here.

The background behind him was completely different when he woke up. I yelled out, "Ethan stole the camp, dude!!"

And for once in Boone's life--possibly for the first time ever on this show--IT REALLY IS VINCENT.

YES. HA.

And who is the guy in this new Blind Justice show? He looks so familiar.

Apparently he was in House of Sand and Fog.

Really, the smart money goes ahead and kills the bad guy.

The smart money at least attempts to find something out from the guy, even if it's all lies. They have nothing, NOTHING else to go on here. How many more there are, where they are, anything. Charlie killed their only lead out of some pathological caregiver complex. He's creeping me out now.
