Awwww, man. I really want to watch Peyton Place on TCM tonight, but I'm so close to locking down the rest of Titanic that I probably shouldn't take my mind elsewhere.

It was crazy--I was up until three am last night writing, not just futzing around but actually pounding it out, and then I was up at eight this morning writing connective tissue. It was weird--I finally had one of those mornings where I could say, "This needs to be written, so now I will write it," and I would just fill in the gaps. Of course, it's still overdue as all hell, but... there you go.

We're up to 39 pages. It'll definitely be 40, maybe more, by the time it's done. That's about twice as long as usual, although I'm sure "Rose!" "Jack!" "Rose!" "Jack!" takes up a good bit of that space. I was a zombie in class--not because I was tired, but because Uncle Tom's Cabin was completely crowded out by all the Titanic miscellany.

My head hurts. I'm hungry. Where's dinner? I want cake.*

* Do not actually send me cake.

.:pats Cleo head:. There, there. In a few days this will all be a happy memory.

...or maybe not. But it will be a memory, the emotion attatched to it not withstanding.

Well, I know I'll certainly associate Prince with it until the day I die.

Now that is a story I would like to hear.

Eh, that's just what I've had playing while I write (with the TV on mute, so I can concentrate and just look over and read the subtitles if I need to). Nothing all that interesting. : )

It's just that one really doesn't associate Prince and Titanic. It's not like I watch a tragic movie and think "Purple Rain".

However, whatever makes you write, I am cool with.

Prince and the Titanic?

That in itself is a genius/sick combo and so much more interesting than what James (I let my ego and maudlin heart get in the way of my great technical skills) Cameron did. Celine Dion, I wish her no personal ill will but she should be paid to stop. Really. Truly ... and pretty Please.

Omg. Prince would have come up with so much awesome booty music for the Sex Car. In fact, I think he would have called it "Sex Car: Music From and Inspired by the Motion Picture Titanic."

Oh my god. I would buy that, and then hang the cover art/title sheet on my door just to get weird looks from people. Hee.

Prince could of def. rock the Sex Car.

Unfortunately, I saw a behind the scenes thing about the "Sex Car" before I saw it at the movie theater. Either Kate or Leo (I forget which one and I get them mixed up:)) were complaining how they needed to cover them in KY or some goo for that scene and how they kept sliding and banging into one another. So when I saw that all I could think was "Ewwww". Thanks a lot, stupid Entertainment Tonight crap program.

Ok-So pardon my tangent but I just saw "Labrynth" for the first time on Saturday... TOTALLY 80's rock opera at it's... muppetest. I get weird Prince+Bowie=LOVE moments swirling through my head now... but they would probably kill each other in a squabble over codpiece size, and glitter monopolization.

OMG LABYRINTH IS LOVE. Although I am pretty sure Bowie would wax Prince in a steel cage match. "I have WIGS older than you, son."

::pictures Prince + Bowie cage fight:: I don't know whether to sigh or giggle.
